Latinos Unite in VA. to Show Hillary Support

Over the weekend Latinos came together to phone bank, show visibility and rally for Hillary. While standing on corners of Rt. 7 in Falls Church Sunday, volunteers encouraged drivers and pedestrians passing by to GO VOTE FOR HILLARY on Tuesday. We had an overwhelming response of honks and cheering as drivers passed by to show their support. Although the winds were fierce, volunteers thought it was important to walk through the highly Latino populated community of Culmore to hand out stickers, flyers and buttons. Others stayed and waited for the Spanish mass to let out at St. Anthony's Church.

On Monday, a Latino Rally for Hillary took place at Babylon Cafe in Falls Church. It started off with the official Latino Hillary song called "Oye Hillary" a volunteer effort by a multi-cultural team called Latinas for Clinton (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nf1aH0mdJIY). We then heard Congresswoman Hilda Solis and Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard give motivational speeches about why they support Hillary and why we should go out there an encourage all our friends and family to vote for her. They touched on important issues to us such as health care for all, opening the doors to higher education, and reenergizing our economy. After the rally, supporters went straight to headquarters to make phone calls and others went to hear Bill Clinton's "Solutions for America" Town Hall at at George Mason University.
